Hours: 

• From part time 16 to 35 hours per week, across core shifts

• Opportunity to work additional hours

 

Core Shifts:

• 7.30am to 1.15pm and 3.45pm to 9.15pm.

• Flexibility possible, but to agreed work pattern

• Some weekend work preferred every second weekend

 

Location: 

• East Renfrewshire (G46,G76,G77)(Newton Mearns, Busby, Clarkston, Giffnock)

• Successful applicants must reside within 30 minutes of G77 and hold a FULL UK Driving Licence, and have access to own car

• Suitable applicants who live within 15 mins walk of The Avenue Shopping Centre, Newton Mearns will be considered

 

Salary: 

• £13.95 per hour

• Enhanced rate £21.85 for 8 public holidays

• 8 days (pro rata) paid annual holiday

Peoples Care Solutions is recruiting frontline Care at Home Carers to support older people in their own homes across East Renfrewshire G77 (Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Busby, Giffnock).

The Role:

• Providing personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition and skin care support, medication support-  on a person- centred basis within older people's own homes

• Previous experience is helpful but not essential; an organised, caring and compassionate approach is required.

 

Responsibilities:

• Carry out Scheduled visits to individuals up to 4 times a day

• Care for and support people in their own homes enabling them to continue to live at home safely and continue to maximise their independence

• Develop professional relationships through mutual trust and communicating effectively

• Be a committed frontline carers team player

• Maintain required standards at all times

• Evidence visits information by writing in Daily Record Books

• Ensure management are given timely feedback 

 

Candidate specification:

• Right to work in UK (NO SPONSORSHIP available: suitable student visa applications considered)

• Live within 30 minutes of G77

• Hold full UK driving licence with a car (applications from non- drivers who live within 15 minutes walk of G77 can be considered)

• Previous care experience and qualifications eg SVQ 2 and 3 preferred, but not essential

• Successful applicants are required to undergo Disclosure Scotland check (funded) and SSSC registration
