Job description: Care At Home Carer – East Renfrewshire
Pay: £13.28 per hour
Hours: Part-time or Full-time (16–35 hours per week, with additional hours available)

About The Role
You’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs, including:

Personal care and support

Moving and assisting

Nutritional support

Medication assistance

Companionship and reassurance
Experience in care is welcomed but not essential — we value kindness, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others above all else.
Core Shifts:

7:30am – 1:15pm
-
3:45pm – 9:15pm
(Some weekend work required – every second weekend)
What We’re Looking For
To join our team, you must:

Have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car

Live within 30 minutes of East Renfrewshire

Our Care at Home Carers team provides all aspects of personal care, moving and assisting, support in nutritional and skincare, and medication support on an individual, person-centred basis.
While previous experience is desirable, a genuine desire to make a real difference to older people in their own homes is more important. You may be seeking a career change, studying at college or university, or have experience of having cared for a loved one.
Core hours are from 7:30 to 13:15 and from 15:45 to 21:15 daily, with opportunities for befriending as well. Flexible opportunities are also available.

Are you a well-organised, friendly, compassionate, energetic, and highly motivated "can do" team player? Being an effective communicator, including a good listener, with patience and proven time-management skills are very important.
For operational reasons, UK driving licence holders with their own cars are required.
Applicants must be resident in the UK, with a national insurance number, and be currently living within a 30-minute commute to Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire (G77 6AA).
You will require to undergo a Disclosure Scotland vetting check and register with SSSC.
